CHALFONT ST PETER

Chiltern OUTDOOR MUSEUM

MILTONS COTTAGE

Milton’s Cottage is a historic house located in the village of Chalfont St. Giles, just a short distance from Chalfont St. Peter. It was the home of the famous poet John Milton, and is now a museum dedicated to his life and works. Visitors can explore the cottage and its gardens, which have been restored to look as they did during Milton’s time. The museum also features a collection of Milton’s personal items, including his original writing desk and some of his first editions.
